About Dr B.

Education is my second career. My first was in marketing and communications. This first career was launched right during the same week I graduated from UCLA with my Bachelor’s degree when I went to work for Mattel Toys, Inc. I continued in this field for almost two decades, including writing, graphic design, video production, and fundraising roles with both salaried and consulting work that spanned Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, and small businesses (including one of my own). Throughout the first career, I always felt that something was missing, so I went back to school to become a teacher and have lived every moment since thrilled with this decision. I have been an educator for since 2001 and have served in various roles from teacher, to curriculum administration, assistant principal, principal, and educational consultant.
